So close to the Lakes, a perfect getaway

Newby Bridge Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the Lake District and is overlooking Lake Windermere with picturesque landscaped grounds and parking for 60 cars.

The Hotel was originally known as Newby Bridge Mansion. It was built in 1793 by James Machel and was one of the first great houses to be built on the shores of Lake Windermere.

Having recently been extended, the hotel boasts quality accommodation, roaring log fires, leisure facilities, a private jetty and ‘moreish’ food.

Our leisure facilities include an indoor pool, ten person ‘tylo’ steam room, spa pool and gym and the facilities are for the exclusive use of our hotel guests.

We have our own mooring on Lake Windermere and hotel residents may fish from here or you could simply have a wander around the shore soaking up the stunning views. For rest and relaxation, the hotel’s Mediterranean gardens and terraces provide a tranquil refuge.

The hotel’s kitchens are supplied with fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs from the proprietor’s well known Victorian kitchen garden at Grange-over-Sands.* We also have our own farm which supplies the hotel with rare breed Herdwick lamb, Galloway beef and Tamworth and Middle White pork.

All of the 41 the bedrooms and 10 four-poster rooms at the Newby Bridge Hotel offer en-suite bathrooms or Jacuzzi baths, hospitality tray, remote control TV with digital channels and radio and much more with Free wifi in lounge and bar areas.
